Holiday Fishing in the Panhandle - Although we are enjoying warmer than usual weather, windy conditions have plagued the panhandle for the past few weeks. However, when anglers have been lucky enough to get out, I can happily say that the fishing has been worth the wait.

Winter fishing and ducks. - The trout and reds have been moving into the bayous and creeks. We are catching large numbers with artificials, a lot of shorts but some good fish also.
Reds are still working the pass and range anywhere from 5 to 50 pounds.

Fish are biting on both sides of the state! - With the winds and waves not being very favorable this past week on the East Coast, Team Buck Rogers flipped the coin and went to the west coast. Cool and Windy - Groupers and Redfish - The fishing report is short and sweet this month. Inshore the hot ticket is redfish. Offshore the best bets are gag groupers and mangrove snappers on reefs and wrecks.

The Off Season Has Fish Too ! - Not many fishin' trips to report since I last wrote this column. I have about rebuilt the trailer for the beach launch cat and lots of other projects but my water time has been limited.

Northwest Florida catching report. Destin, Navarre, Pensacola - After fishing 13 out of the last 23 days I can tell you for sure the fall fishing here in the Florida Panhandle is off the charts!!!

Redfish and Redheads, a great winter combination. - This time of year the fishing can be really good. We went to Warren Bayou on Friday (steam plant canal) and after a little searching found a large number of fish just outside.
